The Trainings

At Uzuri Birth, we believe in the importance of preserving the wisdom and traditions passed down through generations, and sharing this knowledge within our communities so that it continues to live on rather than being lost.

Community-Based Doula Training Program

Passionate about supporting mothers and babies? Our 20-week Community-Based Doula Training Program is designed specifically for individuals without a medical background who are committed to making a difference in maternal and newborn health.

Offered free of charge to Ghanaians in partnership with HealthConnect One, this program combines weekly classes over six months with hands-on clinical experience and practical assignments.

Participants meet once a week and gain the knowledge and skills needed to provide compassionate, evidence-based support during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.

Upon completion of the program, participants will receive either a Certificate of Completion or a Certificate of Participation, recognizing their dedication to serving families and strengthening community-based maternal care.

The certificates are handed over during a graduation ceremony at the University of Ghana.
